30th Annual Hon. James B. McMillan Fellowship Dinner

On Thursday evening, Mecklenburg Bar members and friends gathered to celebrate the 30th Annual Hon. James B. McMillan Fellowship Dinner at the Grand Bohemian Charlotte.

The evening featured:

  • A thought-provoking panel discussion with Superior Court Judge Donald Cureton, Jr. and Claire Rauscher of Womble Bond Dickinson, moderated by Daniel Spiegel of the UNC School of Government, exploring the continued relevance of Wheeler v. Goodman (1971) and its impact on Fourth Amendment jurisprudence today.
  • Presentation of the Julius Chambers Diversity Champion Award to Kelly Durden (presented by Suzi Canali)
  • Presentation of the John B. McMillan Distinguished Service Award to Randel Phillips (presented by David Allen, Kevin Williams, and Caroline (Hubbell) Yingling
  • Remarks from McMillan Fellowship Committee Chair Amy Howard and Co-Vice Chairs Mandana Vidwan and Lacey Duskin
