Mecklenburg

Parking

Public parking for court visitors is available at the 4th Street Parking Deck, located at the intersection of 4th and McDowell Streets. The public entrance to the parking deck is on 4th Street, directly across from the 3rd and 4th Street / I-277 / John Belk Freeway exit ramp. The cost is $1.00 per half hour or $12.00 for daily parking. Accessible parking is available on Level 2. Oversized vehicles must park on the 2nd Level.

ONCE YOU HAVE PARKED: Using the crosswalk, cross over McDowell Street. Enter the Mecklenburg County Courthouse through the entrance on McDowell Street. All visitors must go through a security checkpoint. You must remove all metals from your person, including belts and steel toed shoes.

The Court does not validate parking for court visitors and is not responsible if your vehicle is ticketed and/or towed.

Gaston

Parking

There are currently 205 parking spaces in the parking lots immediately in front of the courthouse, Sheriff’s Office and jail. Some of those are reserved for court officials, law enforcement and jurors, but there are 179 paid spaces for the general public and county employees. Fees range from $1 per hour to $5 for a day, and people pay by inputting their space number into kiosks by the courthouse.

The courthouse parking lot is a large surface lot near the railroad tracks offering free parking at the corner of Church St. and Charlotte Ave.

Iredell

Parking

Parking is available in front of the Hall of Justice and across Stockton Street in the overflow parking lot. Handicapped parking is available in the front of the Hall of Justice with wheelchair access.

Cabarrus

Parking

You can find parking at the Cabarrus County Courthouse Annex Lot 77 by Union St South as well as other parking lots, street parking near the courthouse.
